West Texas Girls Conference is a weekend of fun and spiritual growth in Abilene Texas.
The fifteenth annual West Texas Girls Conference is right around the corner! It will be November 10-11 at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. This year’s theme is Braving the Wilderness. Our goal for the weekend is for 6-12th grade girls to recognize seasons of wilderness, and to know that God is empowering them during these times in their lives. Our challenge is that they will leave the weekend equipped with everyday rhythms that will help them brave the wilderness.
We are excited to have Sarah Brooks as our keynote speaker this year. She is a mom of little humans by day, and a blogger and speaker by night (and at nap time). She is passionate about authentic faith, mentoring teenagers, and sharing a good laugh, all of which she writes about – in no particular order – at lifeasoflate.com. She, her husband, and their brood of gentlemen call Fort Worth, TX home. We are also excited to have Courtney Tarpley back this year to lead us in worship.
The cost is $55. Applications can be found in the information centers at South Plains.
We will depart the building at 7am on Saturday, November 10th. Each student needs to bring about $15 for dinner on Saturday night. Make plans to return to the building around 5pm on Sunday November 11th.
